Sometimes I wish I could just get a huge pair of scissors and free myself from everything I'm tied to.

Identity
The first step to truth is to BELIEVE.
As Pastor David spoke this message a couple of Sundays ago, it really hit me. We should know that we are first and foremost God's creation, and that we were made with purpose and with love and grace. We are not worthless - why would God make worthless creations? Once we understand, grasp, and BELIEVE our identity in Christ, then we can start to grow.
Once you label yourself, you start to grow into that label.

Summer Retreat
Craziest beginning to retreat.
It sucked that the first time I'm on leadership for YNECM, some craziness happens.
First of all - bus driver arrives at church around 3pm, arriving 4 hours too early. He's pissed that he has to wait so long, but what can we do? It's really not our fault. Anyway, we try to offer him food while he waits, but he is still pissy and doesn't accept.
Then as we wait for the late people to arrive, he hears that we might have too many people. Once we have everyone on the bus, I realize that we have ONE too many people. I was the last one on the bus, but I was willing to just chill on the floor or something. I ask him to leave, but he says he can't because we have 62 and there are only 61 seats. So Minjae and I decide to just drive up.
Minjae and I stop by a Chik-fil-A to grab some food. The guy behind us in line asks if we're there for the free milkshake, and we reply by saying no. He tells us how to receive a free milkshake and he goes ahead of us to show us. His claim is legit and we also get free milkshakes.
We were in a downer mood before, but after the free milkshake, we're in good moods with light hearts. Then on the way up the mountain, we get calls from different people on the bus that the bus driver is lost. I'm super confused, but we find out that the bus driver got the wrong address.
We make a bunch of different calls, and try to control the situation. Our group had to wait at the wrong site (which was about an hour away by car) until we were able to shuttle people to the correct site.
Our goal was to have everything and everyone unloaded from the bus at 10pm. Everyone ended up at the site at 3am.
At least we didn't lose anyone. Or anything. God is good.
Oh and I thought this picture was funny. Find me. =]
