1. The Hat
626-292-1000. That is the phone number for The Hat in Temple City. Freaking memorized that sucka. Whenever I am hungry, the first thing I think about is this place. Their Chili Fries, Pastrami Burger, Roast Beef sandwiches, "Cherry" Coke.... I can't not think about them when I'm hungry.
2. Carnitas Michoacan
What all Young Nakers have running in their veins: grease from Carnitas. I feel super sad when I don't eat their Mexican food on Sundays. You might not think it's the best, but trust me, it is. Al Pastor Tacos, Carne Asada Burrito, Papa's Nachos, Special Nachos, Tortas, washing everything down with a large Horchata, etc etc. Can't really go wrong here. I even "bought" my Awana kids food from Carnitas, because I loved them (and because I was slightly hungry too).
3. Chick-Fil-A
I've only had it once. I want it. Right now.
4. Carl's Jr
Late night partying and the 24 hour drive thru along with their 99cent Spicy Chicken sandwiches made Carl's the BEST place to go for late night in high school. I can go for like 4 of those sandwiches right now...
5. Soon-dae + Soon-doo-boooooooo
Soon-dae is probably nastier than spam, the way it's made. But I have been craving some intestine-filled goods for a while. And some BCD Soooooondooobooooo sounds freaking bomb too. I love late night BCD runs. Crackin' the egg in there, eating kimchee, slurping the soup, and the noo-room-ji at the end... Koreans are amazing.
It is 2:18am. I would do ANYTHING for any of these right now.....

E - Eggs
Back to the Alphabet Aerobics (which I last used in January).
E is for Eggs.

My favorite style: Sunny-side up.
As a kid, I would love poking at the yolk, and watching it bleed and seep out. Yum. My parents made me eat every part of the egg, so I grew accustomed to eating the watery yolk part. People hate the yolk, saying it tastes nasty or saying it has no nutrients and is very bad for you. Um, I don't care.
Just the name of the cooking style and the joy I have of poking at the yolk makes the Sunny-side up egg one of my favorite breakfast dishes ever. Sprinkle a little salt, poke the yolk, and enjoy! I like using a piece of toast to scoop up the runny yolk sometimes. Man, I'm getting hungry.
I just have good thoughts when I think of a Sunny-side egg. I remember my dad cooked the egg for me and my sister one time, and I asked him to not poke the yolk and to not overcook it. So he did his thang, and placed the egg on my plate. When I went to eat it, the yellow part looked perfect. Super round and yellow and ready to be poked. Everything was good until I looked at the white parts of the egg; the white part was definitely not cooked enough, runny, and messed up my entire breakfast. I remember eating it anyway because I did not want my dad to be upset. The taste of the entire egg was like swallowing snot. Or just eating a raw egg. But I always remember my dad pretending like he knew what he was doing while cooking the egg. The end.

Oreos
I stepped on an Oreo cookie on the way up from campus today. I looked at it after I stepped on it and kept walking. Then I went to the student convenient store at the dorms and bought a case of Oreos. With Milk. I just ate 6 of them. And I am sick of them already. My guilt trip fails me again.
Question (not pertaining to the Oreos):
Living life is hard. So, in many situations, it is very helpful to get advice from people and to apply those things in your life, so you do not go through the same failures as the other person did. But isn't it also helpful to go through a situation yourself, because like they say, "the process is where you learn from the most"?
Where is the line drawn?
When do you take advice?
When do you go through it yourself?
Like an Oreo, you can get the creamier, winning side or you can get stuck with just the cookie and a big L.

Recently...
...school sucks.
I totally thought I could own this quarter, but of course, UCLA has to ruin those plans and make classes hard, no matter how easy they seemed before.
-Lesson: Try harder. DON'T think things are easy.
...God has been good.
He has probably never been so real to me. I've grown a lot and have been trying to commit myself to God, MORE than any other period in my life. I only hope I can continue to grow.
-Lesson: Actively live through Him. Blessings will come; be patient.
...TCK has taken its baby steps.
I have seen my baby start to take its first steps (my baby being the child of Wesley and mine). I'm super excited to see final products. I only hope that this whole TCK business will be super fun to deal with. Community Kids!!
-Lesson: Inspire others.
...Lakers have been fun to watch.
It was fun to see them be the best throughout the season, fall a little bit, bounce back, form into a championship team, and rock the first round of playoffs. All I ask for is a couple of more titles from Kobe Bryant & the Lake Show.
-Lesson: Love your team. They will reward you. Love Kobe. He will reward you.
