I just got home from one of the
greatest Dodgers games I've attended. Many reasons:
- Firstly, I went with my Young Nak small group and a few other friends who also decided to go. Although there wasn't much bonding time, it was fun to go with a group of people you know you're going to end up bonding with.
- Secondly, the Dodgers won!
- It was free Dodger Blanket Night! And I not only got a free blanket.... but I got
TWO free blankets! And the blankets aren't ghetto; they're super soft and having two is definitely better than having one.
- It was probably one of the hardest games to watch. The Pirates scored 3 in the first, and their starting pitcher had a perfect game through 3 innings. I was super nervous throughout the game because of the tight score, but we got close when we scored 2 in the 5th(?) - not sure when. Then the Dodgers continued to blank the Pirates until we scored in the bottom of the 9th to tie it up. Oh that leads to another reason....
- The game went into extra innings! Not only extra innings, but 4 extra innings. Ups the excitement of the game exponentially.
- We got to ride in the secret Dodger elevator, going from this....

..to this!

- Lastly, Ethier's game winning 2-run homerun was just nuts. We had such a good view of it and the sound that the bat made was incredible. I was screaming myself hoarse, but I didn't care. The joy I received from the game tonight almost made up for the crappy summer I had.
Top off the incredible game with BCD, and I'm good to sleep for days on in.
Goodnight everyone.
